Parkhill is on the lookout for a skilled Project Architect to join our growing K-12 Team. In this role, you'll be involved in every stage of projects, from initial assessment to final construction. We’re searching for someone who can bring together creativity, practicality, and a deep understanding of educational needs. This is a full-time, exempt position paid on a salary basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest. We have 13 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and assessments.
  • Participate in meetings with clients to understand their project needs and preferences.
  • Develop design concepts and proposals, creating detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and other consultants.
  • Present designs to clients and stakeholders for feedback and approval.
  • Explore new design concepts, incorporating emerging technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Obtain a Registered Architect License or within 6 months or hire.
  • Excel in designing spaces that foster learning, collaboration, and safety while considering budgetary restraints.
  • Strong time management skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication skills to allow for seamless collaboration with education, administrators, and consulting teams.
  • Proficient in Revit Architecture, Microsoft Word & Excel, Bluebeam, and Sketchup.
