Overview

The Project Architect is involved at every stage of the project. This role is responsible for conducting site visits, collaborating with clients and consultants, developing and presenting design proposals, and exploring innovative design concepts. The Project Architect is also responsible for ensuring projects meet client needs and budget constraints. This is a full-time, salary, exempt position.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in project development from programming/conceptual design through construction administration.
  • Prepares project construction documents.
  • Communicates and coordinates with consultants, contractors, owners, and team members.
  • Documents code review and compliance.
  • Reviews shop drawings and project submittals for document compliance.
  • Conducts site visits and assessments.
  • Participates in meetings with clients to understand their project needs and preferences.
  • Develops design concepts and proposals, creating detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Presents designs to clients and stakeholders for feedback and approval.
  • Explores new design concepts, incorporating emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Registered Architect in state of Texas or able to get through reciprocity.
  • 5-10 years of experience of community-based design.
  • High energy, confident, and goal oriented.
  • A passion for creative design.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with team members inside and outside the office.
  • Proficient in Revit Architecture, Microsoft Word & Excel, Bluebeam, and Sketchup.
  • Desire to continue developing and grow career and firm.
