Parkhill is excited to announce an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will work independently or with minimal supervision to support our Engineers by applying advanced principles, methods, and techniques of engineering technology. You will tackle non-routine and complex assignments, either planning and executing smaller projects or contributing to larger, more diverse initiatives. This is a full-time, exempt position paid on a salary basis.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze a variety of engineering data to determine requirements to meet engineering objectives; may calculate design data.
  • Prepare layout for complete drawing package and assists in selecting and preparing applicable standard details.
  • Assist in developing and preparing non-standard and complex design details.
  • Prepare basic layout of project elements such as, mechanical and plumbing systems and diagrams.
  • Uses computerized design software, including Autodesk Revit, and other relevant computerized tools to prepare design assignments.
  • Collaborate with team members on design specifications and timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or an Associates degree in Computer Aided Design/Graphics or a related field.
  • Proficient in computerized design software’s including, but not limited to, Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
  • Possess the ability to adapt and adjust as challenges present themselves.
