Overview

The Civil Graduate Engineer supports the design and development of civil engineering projects under the guidance of licensed engineers. This role provides an opportunity to apply engineering knowledge to real-world infrastructure and land development projects while gaining experience toward professional licensure.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest. We have 13 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in engineering efforts from design through construction on a variety of environmental and civil engineering projects.
  • Uses computerized design software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and other relevant computerized tools to prepare design assignments.
  • Collaborate with team members on design specifications and timelines.
  • Perform field construction observation work when necessary, under minimal supervision.
  • Work with our industry experts to develop, implement, and maintain environmental compliance programs for public and private clients.
  • Perform various forms of environmental monitoring when necessary, under minimal supervision or as part of an experienced team.
  • Reduce and compile environmental monitoring results to develop comprehensive reports.
  • Assist with development of environmental permits (e.g., air, water, solid waste, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain EIT or PG. 
  • Experience in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in Civil 3D preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent client and team communication.
