Overview

Parkhill is excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer-In-Training to join our team. In this role, you will work independently or with minimal supervision alongside Professional Engineers by applying advanced principles, methods, and techniques of electrical engineering. You will tackle non-routine and complex assignments, either planning and executing smaller projects or contributing to larger, more diverse initiatives. This is a full-time, exempt position paid on a salary basis.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze a variety of engineering data to determine requirements to meet engineering objectives; may calculate design data.
  • Prepare surveying and field-testing instructions and maps.
  • Prepare layout for complete drawing package and assists in selecting and preparing applicable standard details.
  • Assist in developing and preparing non-standard and complex design details.
  • Prepare basic layout of project elements such as structural foundation and framing systems, parking lots, roadway alignments, water systems, sewer line alignments, electrical diagrams, mechanical systems, plumbing diagrams, and supervisory control systems.
  • Use computerized design software and other relevant computerized tools to prepare design assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university. 
  • 2-5 years of experience. 
  • Proficient in computerized design software’s including, but not limited to, Revit, AutoCAD, Visual Lighting, and SKM.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
