Overview

Under close supervision, performs routine tasks requiring knowledge of fundamental engineering, mathematical and construction concepts. Provides support to engineers, CADD supervisor, or project team in the preparation of HVAC and plumbing system design and sizing. This is a part-time, non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with fundamental project tasks such as basic design calculations, system layout and sizing for HVAC and plumbing.
  • Assists with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
  • Assists with checking engineering calculations.
  • Assists in maintaining the technical library.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, computer aided design and other relevant software and hardware tools.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Student status in Mechanical Engineering or an appropriate related discipline at an accredited college or university.
