Overview

The Civil Project Engineer will be integral to every stage of project development. The role will involve close collaboration with team members and clients to design tr ansportationprojects aimed at enhancing our communities.This is a full-time position, paid bi-weekly on an salary basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with 15 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. 

Responsibilities

  • Develops design concepts and proposals, creating detailed drawings and specifications on a variety of civil engineering transportation projects
  • Conducts site visits and assessments
  • Participates in meetings with clients to understand their project needs and preferences
  • Collaborates with engineers, architects and other consultants
  • Presents designs to clients and stakeholders for feedback and approval
  • Explores new design concepts, incorporating emerging technologies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years’ experiencein Transportation Design
  • Professional engineer registration in TX with ability to get in NM & OK
  • Proficiency in roadway design software such as MicroStation, GEOPAK, or OpenRoads
  • Maintaining a high level of organization to maximize business hours and to strategically prioritize tasks
  • Excellent analytical skillsto design a system that will withstand the elements on the installation site
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment with non -Engineer decision makers and be able to communicate plans
